After the corona wave, the indian companies that produce the medicinal ingredients required for the production of the pharmaceutical companies have started targeting the global market. An entrepreneur from Andhra Pradesh, M.Kesava Reddy and G. Pratap Reddy founded the company Vamsi Labs Ltd. The Active Pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and COPD drugs produced by  this v company are increasing demand from all over world including European countries. Solapur which has earned a world wide reputation for producing Textieals, is now making a name for itself in the productions of medicinal ingredients. As an indian, we are certainly proud of this matter

Mr. M kesava Reddy, born to Madana Bhujang Reddy and Madana Samrejyama in Lingam Guntapalem (Guntur district), a village with a population of 1500, completed his primary to secondary education in his hometown. He then pursued college education in Guntur and obtained a B.Sc. (chemistry) degree with first-class honours. In 1976, after earning his B.Sc.(chemistry) degree, M. Kesava Reddy applied for a three-year course and training in Metallurgy at Tata Iron and Steel Company (TISCO) in Jamshedpur. Out of numerous applicants from across the country, only 24 trainees were selected through interviews and written examinations for this TISCO course, with M. Kesava Reddy being the sole trainee from Andhra Pradesh. The course and training involved rigorous exams and interviews.

M. Kesava Reddy topped the Metallurgy course. The selection interview and the interview for induction into the company were conducted by the renowned Dr. J. J. Irani. Upon successful completion of the training, M. Kesava Reddy received a job offer from Tata Steel Company (TISCO), where he worked for four years. Working at TISCO, M.Kesava Reddy’s expertise in the rolling of metals led to a job opportunity at the Hadid Steel Plant in Saudi Arabia in 1982, a plant run by the Saudi Arabian government. He worked there in the steel rolling mill until 1989, after which he decided to return to India. Upon returning to India, M.Kesava Reddy considered starting his own business instead of seeking employment. During this time, his brother-in-law G. Pratap Reddy, who had specialized in M.Sc.(Organic Chemistry), was also contemplating starting an i dependent business. They decided to venture into the pharmaceutical sector and established Vamsi Labs Pvt. Ltd. in 1991.

In the last 32 years, Vamsi Labs has overcome many hurdles and created its place in the world by producing high quality ingredients required for drug manufacturing. Companies products have been delivered to other major countries including China, Russia, America, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Brazil. The company has received all kinds of ISO certifications for quality and safety. The global market has opened up to Vamsi Labs as Vamsi Labs products have been certified by the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by the European Union.
