One should be courageous in life ! We are always told that without showing courage, you will not achieve anything. But I believe that simply being courageous is only half the truth. Because along with courage, it is crucial to have more positivity and complete awareness about what you want to achieve, and to study it thoroughly. Otherwise, you might end up being deceived. Mere courage could backfire on you. According to the famous Nobel laureate economist Daniel Kahneman, courage is the willingness to take a risk when you know what it is. But if you show courage with overconfidence, meaning you take a risk without knowing it, it could backfire. There is a big difference between accepting a risk with knowledge and accepting it without knowledge. This means that just being courageous is not enough. Instead of being successful, you are more likely to fall in to a big crisis and fail. Therefore, it is wise to accept a known risk, and people will also appreciate you for accepting the risk at the right time.

माणसाने आयुष्यात धाडसी असले पाहिजे ! धाडस दाखविल्याशिवाय तुम्हाला काहीच मिळणार नाही, असं आपल्याला नेहमीच सांगितल्या जाते. पण मला वाटतं की, नुसतं धाडसी असल्याने काही मिळेल हे अर्धसत्य झाले. कारण धाडसासोबतच तुमच्याकडे अधिक सकारात्मकता आणि जे मिळवायचं आहे त्याविषयाची पूर्ण जाणीव असणे, त्याचा अभ्यास असणे खूप गरजेचे आहे. अन्यथा तुम्ही फसल्या जावू शकता. नुसतेच धाडस तुमच्या अंगलट येवू शकते. प्रसिद्ध नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेते इकॉनॉमिस्ट डॅनियल काह्नेमन यांच्या मते, धाडस म्हणजे जोखीम हे माहीत असताना ती स्वीकारण्याची तयारी असते. पण अति आत्मविश्वासाने तुम्ही धाडस दाखविले म्हणजेच माहिती नसताना तुम्ही जोखीम स्वीकारली तर ती अंगलट येवू शकते. कारण माहिती असताना जोखीम स्वीकारणे आणि ती माहीत नसताना स्वीकारणे यात खूप फरक आहे. याचाच अर्थ असा आहे की, नुसते धाडसी असून उपयोगाचे नाही. तुम्ही यशस्वी होण्याऐवजी मोठ्या संकटात सापडून अपयशी ठरण्याची अधिक शक्यता आहे. त्यामुळे माहीत असलेली जोखीम स्वीकारण्यातच शहाणपणा आहे आणि योग्यवेळी जोखीम स्वीकारली म्हणून लोकही तुमचे कौतुक करतील.
