From the beginning to the end, and through new beginnings, writing captures the essence of human life and the universe. Whether it is the past, the present, or the future, humanity remains connected to these because we document the course of life. Every person who comes in to this world is always contemplating their future while living in the present. When facing the challenges of the present, one first looks to the past and then tries to predict how the future should be. It is said that those who know their past struggle in the present while taking stock of the future. Among all the creatures in creation, humans are considered the most superior because they are aware of their past. Therefore, while living in the present they are also taking stock of the future. And this has been made possible only through writing. Writing is like a person’s second ‘memory card’. Through writing, one can store countless memories far beyond what can be stored in the brain.

उत्पत्ती पासून अंतापर्यंत आणि पुन्हा नव्या उभारणीपर्यंत मानवी जीवन आणि सृष्टीचा वेध घेते ते “लेखनकार्यच”. भूतकाळ असो की वर्तमानकाळ अथवा भविष्यकाळ असो माणूस त्याच्याशी पिढ्यानपिढ्या-वर्षानुवर्षे परिचित राहतो. याचे कारणच तो जीवनक्रम लिहून ठेवतो म्हणूनच…. जन्माला आलेला प्रत्येक जण आपल्या भविष्याचा वेध घेतच वर्तमान जगत असतो. वर्तमानात येणाऱ्या संघर्षाला सामोरे जाताना आधी तो भूतकाळाकडे पहात असतो, मग तो भविष्यकाळ कसा असावा ? याचा अंदाज बांधत असतो. असं म्हणतात की, ज्यांना आपला भूतकाळ माहीत असतो ते वर्तमानकाळात संघर्ष करत भविष्यकाळाचा वेध घेत असतात. सृष्टीमध्ये सर्व प्राणिमात्रांमध्ये मनुष्य हाच प्राणी सर्वश्रेष्ठ ठरला, कारण त्याला स्वतःचा भूतकाळ माहीत आहे. म्हणूनच तो वर्तमानकाळात जगत असताना भविष्यकाळाचा वेध घेतोय आणि त्याला हे शक्य झाले ते केवळ लेखनकार्यामुळेच. लेखनकार्य म्हणजे माणसाचे दुसरे “मेमरी कार्ड”च आहे. आपल्या मेंदूमध्ये साठवून ठेवता येईल इतक्या आठवणी पेक्षा कैकपटीने अधिक तो लेखनातून साठवून ठेवतो. म्हणून मला लेखनकार्य आवडते.
