मुलाचे यश हेच माझ्या आनंदाश्रूचे निमित्त….!

What brings a tear of joy to your eye?

• If someone were to ask what brings tears of joy to your eyes, I would say that whenever my child achieves success or is praised for something, tears of joy well up in my eyes with a sense of fulfillment in life. I am a very sensitive person. Even when a poignant dialogue is being delivered by a character on stage during a play I’ve written, I find myself tearing up. Because of this, I stopped attending the performances of my own plays. Just as I feel deeply for others’ pain, I am equally moved to tears by joy.
• When do you feel the most happiness? Even if you achieve something through your own hard work, it brings you satisfaction. But when the next generation proves their worth and achieves success, it fills you with pride. It is this expression of pride that is the true cause of your tears of joy. My only son, Soham, is everything to me. Since his school days, he has never allowed success to be out of his reach. Of course, he has had to overcome many obstacles along the way, but success has always eagerly stayed by his side. He is now working in Japan. I never even dreamed of going abroad for tourism, yet my son has gone overseas for his job. If tears of joy don’t come to my eyes when expressing this happiness, what else could be expected?

• तुमच्या डोळ्यात आनंदाश्रू आणणारे काय आहे ? असं कुणी विचारलं तर सध्या माझ्या मुलाला त्याच्या कोणत्याही गोष्टीत त्याला यश मिळाले-कौतुक झाले की आपले जीवन सार्थक झाल्याच्या भावनेने डोळ्यातून आपोआपच आनंदाश्रू तरळतात. तसा मी खूप हळव्या मनाचा आहे मी लिहिलेलं नाटक रंगमंचावर सुरू असताना एखाद्या पात्राचा कारुण्यमय संवाद सुरू असला तरी मला रडू यायचे. त्यामुळे मी लिहिलेले नाटक सुद्धा बघायला जायचे मी बंद केले. दुसऱ्याच्या वेदना पाहून जसा मी रडवेला होतो. तसाच आनंद झाला तरी माझी हीच अवस्था असते.
• तुम्हाला सर्वाधिक आनंद केंव्हा होतो ? तुम्ही परिश्रमाने जरी एखाद्या गोष्टीला मिळवले तरी तुमच्यासाठी ती समाधानाची बाब असते. पण तुमच्या पुढच्या पिढीने जर आपली गुणवत्ता सिद्ध करत यश मिळवले तर तुम्हाला त्याचा अभिमान वाटतो. ही अभिमान व्यक्त करण्याची क्रियाच तुमच्या आनंदाश्रूची निर्मितीचे खरे कारण असते.माझा एकुलता एक मुलगा सोहम हा माझ्यासाठी सर्वस्व आहे. त्याने शालेय जीवनापासून कधीच यशाला आपल्यापासून दूर ठेवले नाही. अर्थात प्रत्येकवेळी यश मिळवताना त्याला अनेक अडथळे पार करावे लागतात. पण यश देखील त्याच्यासोबत रहायला कायम उत्सुक असते. आता सध्या तो जपानमध्ये जॉब करतोय. मी परदेशात पर्यटनासाठी देखील जाण्याचे स्वप्न कधी पाहिले नव्हते. पण मुलगा मात्र जॉबसाठी परदेशी गेला. हा आनंद व्यक्त होताना डोळ्यात आनंदाश्रू येणार नाहीत तर आणखी काय होणार ?
