बाप्पा तुझ्या आगमनाने सर्व जग सुखी होवू दे…!

The next ten days are going to be very hectic. Ganpati Bappa is coming to stay at our home as a guest for ten days. So, we have to perform his worship, offerings, and everything with great care. He is not a guest who will leave after criticizing or arguing. We should serve him as much as we can, and when he departs, he leaves us with a “box of happiness” as a gift.

• It’s human nature. People love living under the illusion that, “I’m doing better than others.” If you have a simple-hearted nature and if God himself stood before you… what would you ask of him? Now, you might say this is pure fantasy. So, let’s play the “fantasy” game… tell me! What would you ask from God? Of course, whatever you ask for would certainly be for yourself, right?
• This means you don’t truly believe in God’s “existence.” You consider him a “fantasy.” But even in this fantasy, when it’s time to ask for something, you only ask for your own “happiness.” The concept that your happiness is tied to the happiness of others doesn’t seem to resonate with you. Regardless of the religion, every religion acknowledges God as an extraordinary and divine power. So, essentially, all religions worship the same God. We accept them in the form we understand. That’s our perspective. But the God of many religions, in many forms, sees us through the same lens. How simple this philosophy is to understand, yet just as difficult to put into practice.
• Oh dear! What a subject I’ve started writing on. This is an endless topic. As I mentioned earlier, Ganpati Bappa is coming to stay with us as a guest for ten days. Two days ago, my wife kneaded the clay and made a “Bal Ganesh” from it. We have an eco-friendly Bappa. Every year, we make the idol at home. And yes, we never ask anything for ourselves from Bappa. Because without asking, he has already given us plenty of “happiness.”

आता पुढचे दहा दिवस खूपच घाई-गडबडीचे आहेत. एकतर गणपती बाप्पा पाहुणे म्हणून दहा दिवस घरी मुक्कामाला येत आहेत. त्यामुळे त्यांची पूजा, नैवेद्य सगळं अगदी यथासांग करावं लागतं. इतर पाहुण्यांसारखं नावं ठेवून किंवा भांडण करून जाणारा हा पाहुणा नाहीय. आपण आपल्या कडून जेव्हढी सेवा करता येईल तेव्हढी करायची. तो मात्र जाताना आपल्याला “सुखाची पेटी” भेट म्हणून देवून जातो.

• मानवी स्वभावच आहे. “त्याच्यापेक्षा माझं बरं चाललंय” या भ्रमात जगायला माणसाला खूप आवडते. तुम्ही जर भाबड्या स्वभावाचे असाल आणि जर परमेश्वर साक्षात तुमच्या समोर उभा राहिला तर… ? तुम्ही काय मागाल त्याच्याकडे ? आता तुम्ही म्हणाल ही निव्वळ फँटसी आहे. मग आपण “फँटसी”चा खेळ खेळू…..सांगा ना ! परमेश्वराजवळ काय मागाल ? अर्थात तुम्ही जे काही मागाल ते नक्कीच स्वतःसाठी मागाल, हो ना !
  म्हणजेच परमेश्वराचे “अस्तित्व” तुम्हाला मान्य नाही. त्याला तुम्ही “फँटसी” समजता. पण फँटसी म्हणूनही तुम्ही जेंव्हा मागायची वेळ येते तेंव्हा तुम्ही तुमच्यासाठीच “सुख” मागता. इतरांच्या सुखात तुमचं सुख दडलं आहे ही कन्सेप्टच तुम्हाला मान्य नसते. कोणताही धर्म असू द्या. त्या धर्माने परमेश्वर ही अद्भुत आणि अलौकिक शक्ती असल्याचे मान्यच केलेले आहे.
•   म्हणजेच सगळ्या धर्माचे देव एकच. आपण त्यांना आपल्याला समजलेल्या रुपात स्वीकारतोय. हा आपला चष्मा आहे. पण अनेक धर्मातील, अनेक रूपातील देव तर आपल्याकडे एकाच चष्म्यातून पाहतोय. समजून घ्यायला किती सोपी आहे ही फिलॉसॉफी. पण आचरणात आणायला तितकीच अवघड.
• अरे बापरे ! कुठल्या विषयावर लिहीत बसलोय. हा न संपणारा विषय आहे. मघाशीच सांगितलं ना, आमच्याकडे गणपती बाप्पा दहा दिवसांकरिता पाहुणे म्हणून येत आहेत. माझ्या पत्नीने दोन दिवसांपूर्वीच शाडूची माती मळून त्याचा “बाल गणेश” तयार केलाय. आमच्याकडे इकोफ्रेंडली बाप्पा असतो. दरवर्षी आम्ही घरीच मूर्ती तयार करतो. आणि हो बाप्पाकडे आम्ही आमच्यासाठी काहीच मागत नाही. कारण आम्हाला न मागता त्याने भरपूर “सुख” दिलंय.
