स्वघोषित नाही तर इतरांनी मान्य केले तेच नेतृत्व असते…!

Do you see yourself as a leader?

Leadership qualities are not determined solely by courage and bravery. Along with these traits, the innate organizational skill of taking everyone along is what defines true leadership. A group that trusts a person will only accept them as a leader if they possess this skill. If you have only courage and bravery, but lack the ability to take others along, you should not be tempted to consider yourself a leader. Since I lack the skill of bringing others along, I never try to find a “leader” in myself. However, since I have the ability to nurture leaders, I seek the “guide” within me.

• Since I have a particular interest in history, I am greatly fascinated by the brave warriors of the past. When we look at the biographies of valiant heroes from history and current leaders from the perspective of a researcher, we realize that they were accepted as “leaders” because of their organizational skills. Leadership imposed forcefully on people only creates dictators.
• Even though I possess both courage and bravery, I don’t seek the “leader” within me because I lack the ability to take others along with me. Instead, to make use of my courage and bravery, I strive to be a good “guide” by supporting strong leadership.
• Leadership isn’t solely associated with political power. It’s not at all true that if you aren’t in politics, you cannot be a leader. No matter which field you work in, you may have the opportunity to lead. However, the people you work with in that field must genuinely accept you as their leader.
• As I have been working in journalism and theater for the past 28 years, I have continuously provided information and entertainment to people through my writing. Although both jobs are linked to organizations, my writing is “independent.” Because of my neutral perspective, my organizational skills are not fully developed. But I can recognize future leadership that will benefit society in others. This discerning ability has been granted to me by my “neutral” nature, which is why I always seek to be an excellent “guide” within myself.

नेतृत्वगुण हा फक्त धाडसी आणि पराक्रमी वृत्तीवर ठरवला जात नसतो. धाडस आणि पराक्रमाबरोबरच सर्वांना सोबत घेऊन जाण्याचे संघटन कौशल्य ज्याची अंगी जन्मजात असतात. अशा व्यक्तीलाच त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवणारा समूह “नेता” म्हणून स्वीकारत असतो. अर्थात तुमच्याकडे नुसतेच धाडस आणि पराक्रमाची वृत्ती असेल आणि इतरांना सोबत घेऊन जाण्याचे कौशल्य नसेल तर तुम्ही स्वतःमध्ये “नेता” शोधण्याचा मोह करू नये. माझ्याकडे इतरांना सोबत घेऊन जाण्याचे कौशल्य नसल्याने मी स्वतःमध्ये कधीच “नेता” शोधत नाही. मात्र नेता घडविण्याचे कौशल्य असल्याने मी स्वतःमध्ये “मार्गदर्शक” शोधत असतो.

• मला इतिहास या विषयात विशेष आवड असल्याने मला इतिहासातील पराक्रमी योद्धा प्रचंड आवडतात. घडून गेलेले इतिहासातील पराक्रमी वीर आणि सध्याचे नेतृत्व करणारे नेते यांच्या जीवन चरित्राकडे अभ्यासक म्हणून पाहिले तर आपल्या लक्षात येते. त्यांच्याजवळ संघटन कौशल्य असल्यामुळेच ते “नेते” म्हणून स्वीकारले गेले आहेत. लोकांवर बळजबरीने लादलेल्या “नेतृत्वातून” फक्त हुकूमशहाच निर्माण होत असतो.
• माझ्याजवळ धाडस आणि पराक्रम ह्या दोन्ही वृत्ती असल्या तरी इतरांना सोबत घेऊन जाण्याचे कौशल्य कमी प्रमाणात असल्यामुळेच मी स्वतःमध्ये कधीच “नेता” शोधत नाही. याउलट माझ्याकडे असलेल्या धाडस आणि पराक्रमी वृत्तीचा उपयोग व्हावा म्हणून मी चांगल्या “नेतृत्वाला” साथ देताना स्वतःमध्ये चांगला “मार्गदर्शक” शोधत असतो.
• “नेतृत्व” हा निव्वळ राजसत्तेशी निगडित विषय नाही. जर तुम्ही राजकीय क्षेत्रात काम करत नसाल तर तुम्हाला “नेतृत्व” करता येणार नाही, असे अजिबात नाही. तुम्ही कोणत्याही क्षेत्रात काम करत असाल तिथे तुम्हाला नेतृत्वाची संधी मिळू शकते. अर्थात तुम्ही ज्या क्षेत्रात कार्यरत आहात तिथल्या तुमच्या सहकाऱ्यांनी तुम्हाला “नेता” म्हणून मनापासून स्वीकारले पाहिजे.
• मी पत्रकारिता आणि नाट्यक्षेत्रात कार्यरत असल्याने माझ्या लेखनाद्वारे लोकांना माहिती आणि मनोरंजन पुरविण्याचे काम गेल्या २८ वर्षांपासून अव्याहतपणे करत आहे. दोन्हीही कामे संस्थेशी निगडित असली तरी माझे लिखाणाचे काम हे “अलिप्तवादी” आहे. त्यामुळेच मी तटस्थ वृत्तीचा असल्याने संघटन कौशल्य माझ्यामध्ये पूर्णपणे विकसित झालेले नाही. पण मी भविष्यातील समाजाच्या उपयोगी ठरणारे नेतृत्व दुसऱ्यामध्ये पाहू शकतो. ही शोधक नजर मला माझ्या “तटस्थ” वृत्तीनेच बहाल केलेली आहे. त्यामुळेच मी स्वतःमध्ये नेहमीच उत्तम “मार्गदर्शक” शोधत असतो.
