“वेळ”च सर्वात मौल्यवान आहे हे समजायला “उशीर” का होतो ?

We do not put a price tag on the things we love. We are willing to pay any amount for them. Why do we do this? It’s because we want to gain “prestige” in society. There are many billionaires in the world who are ready to spend any amount to pursue their passions. This is not something new; it has been happening for generations. Many billionaires, who amassed the most valuable treasures, are glimpsed through the pages of history.

• It has now become fully clear to humans that nothing will accompany them after death. We have long moved past the era where valuable objects were buried along with the deceased in their coffins.
• Although education has made people wiser, the madness of arrogance still remains with them to this day. On one hand, humans who appreciate artistry value precious objects, but at the same time, for the sake of prestige, they foolishly try to keep those valuable things permanently close to them. People have now realized that “time” is far more valuable than their most cherished possessions. Yet, their obsession with collecting valuable items does not diminish.
• Even though time is the most precious thing, humans cannot buy or keep it in any way. Death may be delayed, but time waits for no one. It moves at its own pace and comes and goes as it pleases. Humans can never control time. It is humans who are slaves to time, not the other way around. People understand this. Hence, no matter how valuable time may be, they cannot hold on to it. Therefore, as a symbol of prestige, people find satisfaction in declaring lifeless objects as “valuable.” But in reality, it is time—the most precious of all—that determines their true “prestige.”

आपल्याला आवडणाऱ्या गोष्टींची आपण पैश्यात किंमत करत नाही. त्यासाठी वाट्टेल तेव्हढी किंमत मोजायची आपली तयारी असते. हे आपण का करतो ? तर समाजात आपल्याला “प्रतिष्ठा” मिळावी यासाठी. जगात असे बरेच अब्जाधीश आहेत. जे आपली आवड जोपासण्यासाठी वाट्टेल तेव्हढे पैसे मोजायला तयार होतात. हे आज घडत नाहीय तर पिढ्यानपिढ्या हे घडतंय.सर्वात मौल्यवान खजिना जमा करणारे अनेक अब्जाधीश इतिहासाच्या पाना-पानातून डोकावतात.

• मृत्यूनंतर सोबत आपल्या काहीच येणार नाहीय हे आता माणसाला पूर्णतः समजून चुकले आहे. आपण त्याकाळातून केंव्हाच बाहेर पडलेलो आहोत ज्या काळात मृत्यूनंतर शवपेटीसह आवडत्या मौल्यवान वस्तू चिरनिद्रा घेत असायच्या.
• शिक्षणाने माणसाला शहाणा केले असले तरी देखील अहंकारी वृत्तीचा वेडेपणा त्याच्यासोबत आजही कायम आहे. एकीकडे कलात्मकतेचा रसिक असणारा माणूस मौल्यवान वस्तूंची कदर करत असतानाच प्रतिष्ठेपोटी ती “मौल्यवान वस्तूच कायमस्वरूपी जवळ बाळगण्याचा वेडेपणा करत असतो. आपण जवळ बाळगत असलेल्या सर्वात आवडत्या वस्तूंपेक्षाही मौल्यवान “वेळ” आहे, हे आता माणसाला कळून चुकले आहे. पण तरी देखील मौल्यवान वस्तू जमविण्याचा त्याचा छंद कमी होत नाही.
• वेळ ही सर्वात मौल्यवान असली तरी माणूस ती कोणत्याही पद्धतीने वेळेला खरेदी करू शकत नाही किंवा तिला जवळ बाळगू देखील शकत नाही. एकवेळ मृत्यू यायचा थांबेल पण वेळ कुणासाठी थांबत नाही. ती तिच्या गतीने आणि मर्जीने येते आणि जाते. माणसाला “वेळ” कधीच “वश” होत नाही. माणूस वेळेचा गुलाम आहे, वेळ माणसाची गुलाम नाही. हेच माणसाला माहीत आहे. म्हणूनच “वेळ” कितीही मौल्यवान असली तरी माणूस तिला बाळगू शकत नाही. म्हणूनच प्रतिष्ठेचे प्रतीक म्हणून माणूस त्याला आवडणाऱ्या निर्जीव वस्तूंना “मौल्यवान” ठरविण्यात धन्यता मानतो. पण त्याची नेमकी “प्रतिष्ठा” किती ? हे मौल्यवान असणारी “वेळ”च ठरवते.
