“कोणतीही बोलीभाषा “आदर” व्यक्त करणारी “मोहक” भाषा असते…!”

Whether spoken by a majority or a minority, a language always expresses “respect” and “sweetness.” The tone and rhythm in which someone speaks a language determine how we perceive a dialect, but this is entirely wrong. Many dialects are on the verge of extinction because they have no place in everyday usage. Therefore, I believe that rather than being stubborn, we should genuinely love our dialects to preserve them, and we should use them freely in daily life.

• In 2022, I started a blog called “dhagedore” on WordPress. At the time, I was already fairly active on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Instagram, so there was a strong push from everyone to have an independent blog. Despite not having enough knowledge about blogging, I launched the blog entirely in Marathi. Unfortunately, I wasn’t getting much response. Even though my ideas were broad, the language I was using became a barrier.
• I was under the illusion that I could reach Marathi-speaking readers scattered across the world, but that didn’t happen. So, I changed the domain and relaunched the blog as avatibhavati.com in 2023. By then, I had a decent understanding of the blogging world, but my insistence on sticking with the “Marathi” language was still creating challenges.
• Finally, a new blogger friend from Norway, Rupali, gave me some suggestions. She advised me that using English would bring more followers. So, starting in July, I made the shift, using ChatGPT to write posts in both English and the original Marathi. And now, as expected, the response is increasing.
• The point I’m trying to make is that no language should be considered inferior. It’s just that different dialects can have a limited audience, and using a language that’s universally understood can be more effective for communication. If the posts I originally wrote in Marathi, and later translated into English using ChatGPT, still resonate with readers, then my “Marathi” language is just fine. It’s simply that fewer people around the world understand it. That’s all.

जगामध्ये बहुसंख्येने बोलली जाणारी असो किंवा अल्पसंख्येने बोलली जाणारी असो, भाषा ही “आदर” आणि “गोडवा” व्यक्त करणारीच असते. तिचा वापर करणारा कोणत्या स्वरात आणि लयीमध्ये उच्चारण करतो यावर आपण बोलीभाषेचे स्वरूप ठरवतो. जे सर्वार्थाने चुकीचे आहे. अशा अनेक बोलीभाषा आहेत, ज्यांना व्यवहारात स्थान मिळत नसल्याने लुप्त होण्याच्या मार्गावर आहेत. त्यामुळे प्रत्येकानेच शिरजोरी म्हणून नाही तर आपल्या बोलीभाषेचे संवर्धन व्हावे यासाठी बोलीभाषेवर मनापासून प्रेम केले पाहिजे. आणि दैनंदिन जीवनात त्याचा मुक्तपणे वापर केला पाहिजे या मताचा मी आहे.

• वर्डप्रेस वर पहिल्यांदा मी २०२२ मध्ये धागेदोरे नावाचा ब्लॉग सुरू केला होता. तेंव्हा फेसबुक, ट्विटर, व्हॉट्सअप, इन्स्टाग्राम या हँडल वरून बऱ्यापैकी काम करत असल्याने एक स्वतंत्र ब्लॉग असावा असा सर्वांचाच आग्रह झाला. ब्लॉग विषयी पुरेशी माहिती नसताना मी ब्लॉग पूर्णपणे मराठी भाषेतून सुरू केला. दुर्दैवाने मला प्रतिसाद मिळत नव्हता. माझी कल्पना व्यापक असली तरी भाषा हे माध्यम मला अडचणीचे ठरले होते.
• माझा हा भ्रम होता की जगभरात विखुरलेल्या मराठी भाषिक वाचकांपर्यंत मला पोहोचता येईल. पण तसे घडले नाही. मग पुन्हा मी डोमेन चेंज करत avatibhavati.com हा ब्लॉग नव्याने २०२३ मध्ये सुरू केला. एव्हाना ब्लॉगची दुनिया बऱ्यापैकी समजली होती. पण पुन्हा माझ्या “मराठी” भाषेचा अट्टाहास मला अडचणींचा ठरत होता.
• शेवटी नॉर्वेमधील माझी नव्याने मैत्री झालेली ब्लॉगर रुपाली यांनी काही सूचना केल्या. इंग्रजी भाषेचा वापर केलात तर तुम्हाला खूप फॉलोअर्स मिळतील हा सल्ला दिला. मग मी जुलै पासून हा बदल केला. Chat GPT च्या माध्यमातून आता इंग्रजी भाषेत सोबतच मूळ मराठीत अशी पोस्ट लिहायला सुरुवात केली. आणि आता अपेक्षेप्रमाणे प्रतिसाद वाढतोय. हे सांगण्याचं कारण म्हणजे, भाषा कोणतीही असो तिला कमी उल्लेखण्याची गरज नाही. फक्त वेगवेगळ्या बोलीभाषा असल्याने सर्वांना समजेल अशा भाषेचा उपयोग संपर्कासाठी केंव्हाही परिणामकारक ठरतो.
• मी मराठी भाषेतून लिहिलेली पोस्ट ChatGPT च्या साहाय्याने इंग्रजीत भाषांतरित केल्यानंतर देखील त्याचा आशय जर वाचकांना आवडत असेल तर मग माझी “मराठी” भाषा चांगलीच आहे. केवळ जगभरात ती समजणारी संख्या कमी आहे. एव्हढंच.
