Whether on a personal level or a public platform, humans, who live collectively and with the help of each other, should embrace peace not just through slogans but from the heart. Because no matter how powerful or capable a person may be, they cannot live without peace. This is the ultimate truth. Peace fosters unity and love. An environment conducive to understanding one another can only be created when peace is accepted. The sense of brotherhood grows stronger. It is unrest that is the true enemy of humanity.

• Today, more than half of the world is engulfed in unrest. Every country is either troubled by the actions of neighboring nations or entirely caught up in internal civil wars. This constant atmosphere of unrest and turmoil is having a negative impact on the social life within these countries. Not only is society being harmed, but the ongoing state of war is directly affecting national wealth and productive capacity, pushing many countries toward economic bankruptcy.
• To tackle the persistent tension and terrorist activities, every nation is forced to spend heavily on its military. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the country which spends the most on its arms and military is often the most unstable one. While it is essential to have a military force that is well-equipped with modern technology to combat the destructive forces trying to incite fear and internal unrest, war alone is not the only solution to establishing peace. Peace is achieved through dialogue. If the process of communication is sensitively and actively pursued, many individuals walking the path of terrorism could undergo a “change of heart.”
• Essentially, whether on an individual or social level, unrest is born from instability, and instability arises when there is an imbalance in development. Every level of society has a common demand for inclusion in the mainstream. However, when certain sections of society are deprived of basic necessities, a profound instability in their way of life emerges. This leads to unrest within these communities, which is then exploited by disruptive forces to spark internal conflicts. In such times, merely advocating peace through slogans is not enough. Peace must be embraced from the heart.

“शांतता ही फक्त घोषणेमधून नाही तर हृदयापासून स्वीकारावी….!”

व्यक्तिगत पातळीवर असो किंवा सार्वजनिक स्तरावर असो समूहाने आणि एकमेकांच्या साहाय्याने जगणाऱ्या मनुष्याने शांततेचा स्वीकार हा फक्त घोषणेमधून नाही, तर हृदयापासून केला पाहिजे. कारण माणूस कितीही ताकदवान आणि क्षमतापूर्ण असला तरी तो शांततेशिवाय जगू शकत नाही. हेच अंतिम सत्य आहे. शांततेमुळे एकोपा आणि प्रेम वाढते. एकमेकांना समजून घेण्यासाठी पूरक ठरणारे वातावरण हे शांतता स्वीकारल्यावरच निर्माण होवू शकते. एकमेकांमधील बंधुभाव वाढीला लागतो. अशांतता हाच माणसाचा खरा शत्रू आहे.

• आज जगाचा अर्ध्याहून अधिक भाग हा अशांततेने व्यापलेला आहे. आज प्रत्येक देश हा एकतर शेजारच्या देशाच्या कारवायांनी त्रस्त झालेला आहे. किंवा अंतर्गत गृहयुद्धात पूर्णपणे अडकलेला आहे. यामुळे सततच्या अशांत आणि अस्वस्थतेच्या वातावरणात त्या-त्या देशातील समाजजीवनावर त्याचा विपरीत परिणाम होत असल्याचे दिसून येत आहे. नुसतेच समाजाचे नुकसान होत नाहीय तर राष्ट्रीय संपत्ती आणि उत्पादन क्षमतेवर थेट परिणाम होत असल्याने अनेक देश सततच्या युद्धजन्य स्थितीमुळे आर्थिक दिवाळखोरीकडे वाटचाल करू लागले आहेत.
• सततच्या तणावग्रस्त स्थिती आणि दहशतवादी कारवायांचा बिमोड करण्यासाठी प्रत्येक देशाला लष्करावर खूप मोठा खर्च करावा लागत आहे. जो देश आपल्या शस्त्रसाठ्यावर आणि लष्करावर सर्वात जास्त खर्च करतो तो देश सर्वात अस्थिर देश आहे असे मानायला काहीच हरकत नाही.
• देशांतर्गत अशांतता निर्माण करण्यासाठी दहशत निर्माण करू पाहणाऱ्या देशविघातक शक्तींचा बिमोड करण्यासाठी पुरेसे आणि आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाने सुसज्ज असणारे सैन्यबळ असणे अत्यावश्यक असले तरी केवळ युद्ध हा शांतता प्रस्थापित करण्यासाठीचा एकमेव पर्याय नाही. शांतता ही सुसंवादाने प्रस्थापित केली जाते. त्यामुळे संवेदनशीलतेने संवाद साधण्याची प्रक्रिया गतिमान केली तर दहशतवादाच्या मार्गावरून चालणाऱ्या अनेकांचे “मनपरिवर्तन” केले जावू शकते.
• मुळातच व्यक्तिगत असो किंवा सामाजिक असो, अशांतता ही अस्थिरतेमधून जन्माला येते आणि अस्थिरता ही विकासाचा समतोल न राहिल्याने निर्माण होत असते. मुख्य प्रवाहात येण्याची समाजातील सर्वच स्तरांची समान मागणी असते. मात्र मूलभूत सुविधांपासून वंचित असणाऱ्या समाजातील काही घटकांमध्ये विकास न पोहोचल्याने जगण्याविषयी कमालीची अस्थिरता निर्माण होते. त्यातूनच त्या समाजघटकांमध्ये अशांतता धुमसत असते. याचाच फायदा घेवून समाज विघातक शक्ती अंतर्गत गृहयुद्ध सुरू करतात. अशावेळी फक्त घोषणेद्वारे शांततेचा पुरस्कार करून चालत नाही. तर शांततेचा हृदयापासून स्वीकार करावा लागतो.
