From December 27 to 29, “Aaryans World School, Solapur” participated as the title sponsor of the “Food Festival 2024,” organized by the Solapur edition of the popular Marathi newspaper Divya Marathi. The founder-chairman and education expert of the “Aaryans” institution, Milind Ladge, who visited Solapur for the festival, gave an exclusive interview for the blog avatibhavati.com. Milind Ladge, the founder and chairman of Aaryans World School, originally based in Pune, is a pharmaceutical manufacturing and sales professional. However, coming from a family of educators, including his parents, uncles, and other relatives, he harbored a strong desire to contribute significantly to the field of education.

India’s traditional education system typically operates within four walls, featuring chalk, a blackboard, and students seated in rows. Milind Sir realized that children cannot become ideal citizens unless they connect with nature. To address this, he visited 222 renowned educational institutions worldwide to study their methodologies.

           In 2008, he established Aaryans World School in Pune, developing an activity-based education system that integrates learning with nature. Today, the institution operates 17 fully functional schools in Pune and its surrounding areas, as well as in Solapur, Belgaum, Kolhapur, and other locations. The institution plans to open 15 more schools across Maharashtra in the next two years.

             Young children form emotional bonds with nature, animals, and birds very quickly. Recognizing this, Milind Ladge has established a library of animals and birds for students, which is a unique feature of the institution. Aaryans World School is perhaps the only educational institution in India that houses some of the rarest species of animals and birds from around the world.

               Milind Ladge has collected these rare live species from places like South America, Africa, India, China, Tibet, and Singapore. This library, built with an investment of millions of rupees, is fully equipped and located at the Bhilarewadi campus of the institution. It is open not only to students of all branches of the school but also to external students for observation.

              This rare collection of animals and birds has become a significant attraction for children and parents alike, making it a cherished experience to visit this unique museum.

Following the motto of “Nation First,” the institution has initiated a “Commando Training Camp” at Bhilarewadi to ensure the physical development of children alongside their intellectual growth from an early age. This training course is a part of the curriculum for the institution’s students and is also available to external students.

             A unique aspect of this Commando Training Course is its appeal to both Indian and international students, who come to participate in the program.

             To ensure the holistic development of students through activity-based education, education expert Milind Ladge has made necessary changes to the Aaryans World School curriculum. Today, students of this institution excel not only in academics but also in sports and cultural fields.

मूळचे पुणेस्थित असलेले आर्यन्स वर्ल्ड स्कुलचे संस्थापक-चेअरमन मिलिंद लडगे हे औषध निर्मिती-विक्री व्यावसायिक. मात्र त्यांचे आई-वडील, चुलते आणि इतर कुटुंबीय हे शिक्षकी पेशातील असल्याने मिलिंद लडगे यांनाही शिक्षण क्षेत्रात भरीव कामगिरी करण्याची सुप्त इच्छा होती. भारतातील शिक्षण पद्धती ही पारंपारिक पद्धतीची आहे. म्हणजे चार भिंतीच्या आत खडू-फळा आणि समोर बसलेले विद्यार्थी हे त्याचे स्वरूप आहे. जोपर्यंत मुले निसर्गाशी एकरूप होत नाहीत, तोपर्यंत ते आदर्श नागरिक बनू शकत नाहीत हे मिलिंद सरांनी ओळखले. त्याकरिता त्यांनी जगभरातील २२२ नामवंत शिक्षणसंस्थांना भेट देवून त्यांच्या कार्यपद्धतीचा अभ्यास केला. त्यानंतर निसर्गाशी एकरूप होणारी शिक्षण पद्धती विकसित करत त्यांनी २००८ मध्ये पुणे येथे क्रियाकलापावर आधारित शिक्षण देणारी “आर्यन्स वर्ल्ड स्कुल”ची स्थापना केली. आजमितीस पुणे शहर आणि परिसर तसेच सोलापूर, बेळगाव, कोल्हापूर आदी ठिकाणी संस्थेच्या १७ शाळा पूर्ण क्षमतेने सुरू आहेत. आगामी दोन वर्षात महाराष्ट्रात आणखी १५ शाळा सुरू करण्याचा संस्थेचा मानस आहे.

             लहान मुले ही निसर्ग, पशु-पक्षी यांच्याशी फार लवकर भावनिकरित्या जोडल्या जातात. हे अभ्यासून मिलिंद लडगे यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी प्राणी-पक्षी यांची लायब्ररी उभारली आहे. हेच या संस्थेचे खास वैशिष्ट्य आहे. भारतात बहुदा ही एकमेव अशी शिक्षणसंस्था आहे ज्यांच्याकडे जगभरातील दुर्मिळातील दुर्मिळ अश्या पशु-पक्षांच्या प्रजाती आहेत. दक्षिण अमेरिका, आफ्रिका, भारत, चीन, तिबेट, सिंगापूर अशा अनेक ठिकाणांहून मिलिंद लडगे यांनी अनेक दुर्मिळ जिवंत पशु-पक्षांचे संकलन केले आहे. लाखों रुपयांची गुंतवणूक असलेली ही लायब्ररी        संस्थेच्या भिलारेवाडी येथे सर्व सुविधांसह उभारण्यात आली आहे. संस्थेच्या प्रत्येक शाखेतील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी जशी ही लायब्ररी खुली आहे तशीच ती संस्थेबाहेरच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना निरीक्षणासाठी खुली आहे. त्यामुळे ह्या दुर्मिळ प्राणी आणि पक्षी संग्रहालयाला भेट देणे हा मुलांसाठी आणि पालकांसाठी पर्वणीचा भाग ठरला आहे.

“राष्ट्र प्रथम” या ध्येयानुसार लहान वयापासूनच मुलांच्या बौद्धिक विकासाबरोबरच शारिरीक विकासासाठी कार्य करताना संस्थेने भिलारेवाडी येथे “कमांडो ट्रेनिंग कॅम्प” सुरू केला असून संस्थेतील विद्यार्थ्यांना हा ट्रेनिंग कॅम्प कोर्स शिकवला जातोच. त्याच बरोबर बाहेरच्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी देखील हा कोर्स उपलब्ध आहे. या कोर्समध्ये प्रवेश घेण्यासाठी भारतातील आणि भारताबाहेरील विदेशी विद्यार्थी देखील येत असतात हेच कमांडो ट्रेनिंग कोर्सचे वैशिष्ट्य आहे. क्रियाकलापावर आधारावर शिक्षण देताना विद्यार्थ्यांचा सर्वांगीण विकास व्हावा या उद्देशानेच शिक्षणतज्ज्ञ मिलिंद लडगे यांनी आर्यन्स वर्ल्ड स्कुलच्या अभ्यासक्रमात आवश्यक ते बदल केले आहेत. आज या संस्थेतील विद्यार्थी क्रमिक अभ्यासक्रमाबरोबरच इतर क्रीडा-सांस्कृतिक क्षेत्रातही चमकताना दिसत आहेत.
