Are you superstitious?
First and foremost, let me clarify that I am not superstitious at all, but I am certainly a believer. For me, God is not just an idol or a concept confined to a particular religious tradition. I perceive God in a broader sense—not only in temples, churches, mosques, or gurudwaras but also in every good deed, positive thought, and pure conduct.
I have a deep inclination to seek God in everything—animals, birds, trees, vines, stones, soil, and most importantly, in other human beings. I admire those who selflessly help others in times of need, as I see them as manifestations of divinity. I wholeheartedly call such individuals “God-like souls,” because, to me, they truly embody a part of the divine.
There is a vast difference between faith and superstition. If you worship the unknown power called God with awareness and understanding, you can clearly recognize this difference.
If you perform rituals merely to please the symbolic representation of God, then you are certainly superstitious. However, if you carry out your duties with sincerity and treat not only humans but all living beings with kindness and compassion, then you are truly a believer.
Through the divine power of your devotion, you experience the presence of God. This is my faith.
- Belief in Existence, Not Miracles :-
I firmly believe in the existence of God, but not in miracles or supernatural interventions. In my perspective, God resides in my hard work, sincere efforts, and the help I extend to others. Whenever someone selflessly helps a person in distress, I see it as a manifestation of divine grace.
- Faith is Rooted in Positivity :-
Superstition is often driven by fear, whereas faith is based on positivity and self-confidence. I believe that God is a force that inspires us to walk the right path, gives us the strength to face challenges with courage, and instills in us the awareness to do good for others.
- God Resides in Thoughts, Not Just Temples :-
That is why I stay away from superstitions but live with faith as my foundation. For me, God is not confined to temples but exists in my thoughts, my actions, and in the moments when I selflessly help others—that is when I feel closest to the divine.
“देव चराचरात आहे असं मानणारा मी एक श्रद्धाळू….!”
मी सर्वप्रथम हे स्पष्ट करतो की मी अजिबात अंधश्रद्धाळू नाही, पण श्रद्धाळू नक्कीच आहे. माझ्यासाठी देव ही केवळ एक मूर्ती किंवा विशिष्ट धार्मिक परंपरेपुरती मर्यादित संकल्पना नाही. मी देवाला एका व्यापक अर्थाने पाहतो—तो केवळ मंदिरे, चर्च, मशिदी किंवा गुरुद्वारांमध्येच नाही तर प्रत्येक चांगल्या कार्यात, सकारात्मक विचारांमध्ये आणि निष्कलंक वागणुकीत आहे. मला पशु-पक्षी, झाडे-वेली, दगड-माती एव्हढेच काय मला दुसऱ्या माणसात देखील देव शोधायचा छंद आहे. कुणाच्याही गरजेला धावून येणारा व्यक्ती मला देवाच्या रुपात पहायला आवडते. मी त्याला नक्कीच “देवमाणूस” म्हणतो. कारण देवाचा अंश धारण केलेले तो माणूस आहे असंच मला वाटतं.
श्रद्धा आणि अंधश्रद्धा यामध्ये खूप अंतर आहे. अर्थात डोळसपणे जर तुम्ही देव नावाच्या अज्ञात शक्तीची उपासना करत असाल तर तुम्हाला हा फरक नक्कीच समजून येतो. देवाच्या प्रतिकात्मक रुपाला जर तुम्ही प्रसन्न करून घेण्यासाठी कर्मकांड करणार असाल तर तुम्ही नक्कीच अंधश्रद्धाळू आहात. पण तुम्ही तुमचे कर्म करताना माणसेच नाही तर जीवसृष्टीशी सहृदयतेने वागत असाल तर तुम्ही नक्कीच श्रद्धाळू आहात. मग तुम्हाला तुमच्या भक्तीच्या दिव्य शक्तीने देवाचे दर्शन होते. हीच माझी श्रद्धा आहे.
१. चमत्कारावर नाही तर अस्तित्वावर विश्वास :-
मी देवाच्या अस्तित्वावर पूर्ण विश्वास ठेवतो, पण तो केवळ चमत्कारांमध्ये किंवा चमत्कारी उपायांमध्ये नाही. माझ्या दृष्टीने, देव माझ्या कष्टात, प्रामाणिक प्रयत्नांमध्ये आणि इतरांना दिलेल्या मदतीत आहे. जेव्हा एखादी व्यक्ती संकटात सापडलेल्या दुसऱ्या व्यक्तीला निस्वार्थपणे मदत करते, तेव्हा त्यामध्ये मला देवाचीच कृपा जाणवते.
२. श्रद्धा ही सकारात्मकतेवर :-
अंधश्रद्धा ही अनेकदा भीतीवर आधारलेली असते, तर श्रद्धा ही सकारात्मकतेवर आणि आत्मविश्वासावर आधारित असते. मला असे वाटते की, देव ही एक अशी शक्ती आहे जी आपल्याला योग्य मार्गावर चालण्याची प्रेरणा देते, संकटांशी धैर्याने सामना करण्याची ताकद देते आणि दुसऱ्यांसाठी काहीतरी चांगले करण्याची जाणीव जागी ठेवते.
३. देव मंदिरात नाही तर विचारांमध्ये :-
म्हणूनच, मी अंधश्रद्धांपासून लांब राहतो, पण श्रद्धेचा आधार घेत जगतो. माझ्यासाठी देव मंदिरात नाही तर माझ्या विचारांमध्ये, माझ्या कार्यांमध्ये आणि मी जेव्हा कोणालाही निःस्वार्थपणे मदत करतो, त्या क्षणीच तो माझ्या जवळ असतो.
