She has always encouraged my writing. Whatever I write, she is my first reader. Even in her silence, her eyes and subtle expressions guide me in the right direction. It is her presence and faith in me that keeps me going, writing without pause.

आज मी पत्रकारिता आणि लेखन या क्षेत्रात पूर्णपणे झोकून दिलो आहे, याचे सर्व श्रेय जर कोणाला द्यायचे असेल, तर ते माझ्या पत्नीला — सौ. स्मिता हिला. आयुष्यात प्रत्येकाला आपली स्वप्ने असतात, काही करण्याची, स्वतःला सिद्ध करण्याची आस असते. स्मितालाही होतीच. तीही एका बुद्धिमान आणि ध्येयवेड्या व्यक्तिमत्त्वाची आहे. पण माझ्या आयुष्याच्या दिशा ठरवताना, तिने स्वतःच्या इच्छा आणि करिअरचे स्वप्न अगदी सहजतेने बाजूला ठेवले — केवळ माझ्यासाठी आणि आमच्या एकुलत्या एक मुलासाठी.
आज मी जो काही लिहू शकतो, विचार मांडू शकतो, त्यामागे माझ्या पत्नीचा खंबीर आधार आहे. सौ. स्मिता — एक न बोलणारी प्रेरणा, एक शांत पण सशक्त पाठिंबा. तिच्यामुळेच माझं लेखन फुलतं आहे, आणि माझं आयुष्य अर्थपूर्ण झालं आहे.
अडचणींच्या काळात खंबीर साथ
ती फक्त पत्नीच नव्हती, तर खऱ्या अर्थाने एक साथीदार होती. माझ्या अपयशाच्या, ताणतणावाच्या, आर्थिक अडचणींच्या काळात ती माझ्यासोबत खंबीरपणे उभी राहिली. माझ्या मुलाच्या संगोपनाची जबाबदारी तिने अतिशय कुशलतेने आणि प्रेमाने सांभाळली. मी बाहेर जगाशी भिडत असताना, तिने घराला आणि आमच्या मुलाच्या भविष्यासाठी आधार दिला.
मुलगा परदेशात स्थिरावला
आज आमचा मुलगा परदेशात स्थिरावलेला आहे, स्वतःच्या पायावर उभा आहे — हे यश तिच्या त्यागातून आले आहे, तिच्या अथक प्रयत्नातून आणि मायेच्या सावलीतून आले आहे. मला वाटते, एक आई म्हणून आणि एक पत्नी म्हणून तिने आपले कर्तव्य केवळ निभावले नाही, तर त्याहून अधिक काही केले.
माझ्या लेखनाला सदैव प्रोत्साहन
माझ्या लेखनाला सदैव ती प्रोत्साहन देते. मी काही लिहितो तेव्हा ती सर्वप्रथम वाचक असते. तिचे मौन असले तरी तिची नजर, तिचे सूचक हावभाव मला योग्य दिशा देतात. तिच्या उपस्थितीने आणि विश्वासानेच मी सतत लिहित राहतो.
