For the past 34 years, I have been sincerely trying to enrich my experience by working in various positions in the newspaper industry. Along with print media, I also ventured into electronic media. After that, I had considered changing my job profile a bit, but by then, I had reached the age of retirement, so I let go of the thought.
However, unexpectedly, a new responsibility has come my way — to take over as the editor of “Amrutvel Media,” the first corporate magazine in the Marathi language. It’s a rare and fortunate coincidence to get a new job opportunity at the time of retirement.
Amrutvel publishes four corporate magazines: Money Plus, Business, Governance, and Lifestyle. Over the past fourteen to fifteen years, Marathi readers from across Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, and the rest of the country have connected with Amrutvel’s publications.
🔴Taking Charge as Editor of Amrutvel
I have enthusiastically accepted the responsibility of Editor at the Amrutvel Media Group from May 1. I consider this a truly honourable milestone—like nectar—in my 34-year journey in journalism. While working with various newspapers over the years, my writing style flourished under the guidance of senior and like-minded colleagues. Encouragement from readers, advertisers, and well-wishers has often empowered my pen to give voice to many important issues.
🔴Active on the Amateur Theatre Scene
Alongside journalism, I have also made a mark in amateur Marathi theatre as a playwright and director. So far, 14 full-length plays and 12 one-act plays have been staged, earning several state-level awards. I have also had the opportunity to serve as a judge in state drama competitions and various one-act play contests.
With the optimism that this bond of creativity will continue, I am embracing this new challenge. I seek your blessings and support.

गेल्या ३४ वर्षांपासून वृत्तपत्र क्षेत्रात वेगवेगळ्या पदांवर काम करीत अनुभव समृद्ध होण्याचा प्रामाणिक प्रयत्न करत आहे. प्रिंट मीडिया बरोबरच इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मीडिया मधून मुशाफिरी केल्यानंतर थोडा जॉब प्रोफाईल बदलण्याचा विचार केला होता. पण तोपर्यंत निवृत्तीचं वय आलं होतं. म्हणून विचार सोडून दिला होता. मात्र अचानक मराठी भाषेतील पहिले कार्पोरेट मॅगझीन असलेल्या “अमृतवेल मीडिया” ग्रुपच्या संपादकपदाची धुरा सांभाळण्याची नवी जबाबदारी आली आहे. निवृत्तीच्या वेळी नव्या जॉबची संधी असा दुर्लभ योग जुळून आला आहे.
"अमृतवेल"ची मनी प्लस, बिझनेस, गव्हर्नन्स आणि लाईफ स्टाईल ही चार कार्पोरेट मॅगझीन प्रसिद्ध होतात. गेल्या चौदा-पंधरा वर्षात महाराष्ट्र, गोवा, कर्नाटकसह देशभरातील मराठी वाचकवर्ग अमृतवेलच्या अंकांशी जोडला गेला आहे.
🔴अमृतवेलच्या संपादकपदी
अमृतवेल मीडिया समूहाच्या संपादक पदाची जबाबदारी दि. १ मे पासून मोठ्या उत्साहात स्वीकारीत असून माझ्या ३४ वर्षांच्या पत्रकारितेच्या प्रवासातील हा एक अमृतासम बहुमान मी समजतो. आजवर विविध वृत्तपत्रातून काम करीत असताना ज्येष्ठ आणि समवयस्क सहकारी कर्मचारी बंधू यांच्या सानिध्यात लेखनशैली बहरली. वाचकवर्ग, जाहिरातदार आणि हितचिंतकांच्या वेळोवेळी मिळणाऱ्या प्रोत्साहनातून अनेक मुद्यांना वाचा फोडण्यासाठी “कलमबळ” मिळाले.
🔴हौशी रंगभूमीवर कार्यरत
पत्रकारितेसोबतच हौशी मराठी रंगभूमीवर माझी नाट्यलेखक व दिग्दर्शक म्हणूनही वाटचाल बहरली. आजवर १४ दोन अंकी नाटके आणि १२ एकांकिका रंगभूमीवर आल्या असून त्याकरिता अनेक राज्यस्तरीय पुरस्कार देखील मिळाले आहेत. राज्यनाट्य स्पर्धा आणि विविध एकांकिका स्पर्धातून परीक्षक म्हणून देखील काम पाहण्याची संधी मिळाली आहे.
हाच ऋणानुबंध असाच पुढे सुरू राहील हा आशावाद पाठीशी असल्यानेच हे नवे आव्हान स्वीकारीत आहे. आपला कृपाशीर्वाद असावा.
