What was the last live performance you saw?

🔹As far as I remember, the last live performance I saw was during the preliminary round of the State Level Marathi Drama Competition held in Satara around November–December 2024. I was invited to be one of the judges for that round, and hence, I had the opportunity to watch various Marathi plays staged by different drama troupes every evening. Each play had its own unique theme, presentation style, and emotional depth. Being a judge, I had to observe every aspect of the performance minutely — from acting, direction, and set design to sound, lights, and overall impact.

🔹It was not just about watching the performances, but also about engaging critically with the content and appreciating the efforts of each team. Those few days were truly enriching for me as a theatre enthusiast and writer.

🔹Since then, for the past five and a half months, I haven’t had the chance to witness any live performance. Other commitments and personal routines have kept me occupied. However, I do look forward to attending a good live play or cultural performance soon, as such events always leave a lasting impression and keep my creative energy alive.

🔹माझ्या आठवणीनुसार, मी शेवटचा थेट सादरीकरण नोव्हेंबर–डिसेंबर २०२४ दरम्यान सातारा येथे झालेल्या राज्यस्तरीय मराठी नाट्यस्पर्धेच्या प्राथमिक फेरीत पाहिला. त्या फेरीसाठी मला परीक्षक म्हणून आमंत्रित करण्यात आले होते. त्यामुळे मला दररोज सायंकाळी विविध नाट्यसंघांनी सादर केलेली मराठी नाटके पाहण्याची संधी मिळाली.

🔹प्रत्येक नाटकाची मांडणी, विषय, सादरीकरणाची पद्धत आणि भावनिक ताकद वेगळी होती. परीक्षक या नात्याने मला अभिनय, दिग्दर्शन, नेपथ्य, प्रकाश-ध्वनी व्यवस्था आणि एकूण प्रभाव या सर्व अंगांचा बारकाईने अभ्यास करावा लागला. त्यामुळे नाटके पाहणे ही केवळ एक मनोरंजनात्मक गोष्ट नव्हती, तर ती एक सर्जनशील आणि समृद्ध करणारी प्रक्रिया ठरली.

🔹त्या काही दिवसांतले अनुभव माझ्यासारख्या रंगभूमीप्रेमी आणि लेखकासाठी अत्यंत प्रेरणादायक होते.

🔹त्यानंतर गेल्या साडेपाच महिन्यांत मला कोणतेही थेट सादरीकरण प्रत्यक्ष पाहण्याची संधी मिळालेली नाही. इतर जबाबदाऱ्या आणि वैयक्तिक व्यस्ततेमुळे वेळ मिळालेला नाही. पण लवकरच एखादं चांगलं नाटक किंवा सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रत्यक्ष पाहण्याची संधी मिळावी अशी अपेक्षा आहे, कारण अशा कार्यक्रमांतून मिळणारी ऊर्जा आणि प्रेरणा खूप काळ टिकून राहते.
