  भविष्यातील शहर कसे असावे याबाबत प्रत्येकाची स्वप्ने वेगवेगळी असतात. कुणाला तंत्रज्ञानप्रिय शहर हवे असते, कुणाला सांस्कृतिक मूल्ये जपणारे. परंतु खरेच आदर्श शहर तेच ठरेल जेथे सर्वांच्या गरजा पूर्ण होतील आणि प्रत्येकाला शांततामय आयुष्य जगता येईल. प्रदूषणमुक्त वातावरण, भक्कम पायाभूत सुविधा, रोजगाराच्या संधी, सामाजिक सौहार्द आणि परस्पर आदर या गोष्टी भविष्यातील शहराचे खरे गाभा ठरतील. असे शहर म्हणजे केवळ विटा-सिमेंटचे बांधकाम नसून माणुसकी, विश्वास आणि गुणवत्तेचा संगम असेल.
