I have no interest in proving how modern and secular I am by trampling on the traditional good omens and customs that have been followed with reverence for generations. On the contrary, like others, I enjoy my religion and the associated traditions of good omens. I do not believe there is any ‘science’ behind them. They are merely based on practical observations, and practical observations do not equate to science. However, if you perform an action that breaks a tradition while silently accepting the traditional mindset, you must be prepared to face their displeasure. But even from this, when you your self taste the expected fruits of joy and share them with others, the happiness you receive is indrescribable. Due to the superstition that having a thorny plant in front of the house is ‘inauspicious’, even after facing people’s criticism, the lady of the house (my wife) has been yielding ‘juicy’ fruits. Just like a girl, unwanted by her parents, wins everyone’s hearts with her sweet nature, this is the small story of this tree.
