श्रद्धा आणि भक्तीच्या स्पर्शातून आकाराला येतो श्रीगणेश….!

• Lord Ganesha is worshipped at the beginning of any auspicious work, which is why he is also known as the deity of beginnings. This year, the arrival of Lord Ganesha will be on September 7th. As one of the most beloved deities, his welcome is celebrated with great enthusiasm. Ready-made Ganesha idols are available in the market for those who wish to install them at home for the ten-day festival. Just as the different forms and sizes of Ganesha idols are a popular topic, making the idol at home and worshipping it for ten days brings a unique, devotional joy.
• Creating a Ganesha idol at home is not “rocket science.” Even someone working with clay for the first time can shape an idol that will be Ganesha. If your heart is filled with faith and devotion towards Lord Ganesha while shaping a lump of clay, the form you create will indeed resemble Ganesha. Not convinced? Try it out as an experiment.
• The very concept of a god with a human body and an elephant’s head is so unique that it naturally draws your mind’s focus. There’s another experiment you can try. Gaze at any image of Lord Ganesha with concentration for just a minute. Then, imagine that you want to create an idol just like that, and close your eyes to meditate calmly for a while. After emerging from meditation, your hands will instinctively begin kneading the clay in front of you into a ball. Once that clay ball is ready, your mind will guide your hands to shape it into Ganesha without the need for any reference image. Even if you have no prior experience in sculpting, your hands will create a Ganesha idol purely driven by your faith and devotion. This experience is shared by all Ganesha devotees. And one more thing, it’s worth mentioning that in India, half of the idol-makers who create Ganesha idols are actually Muslims.
• At my home, my wife creates the Ganesha idol, and that very idol is worshipped with devotion for ten days.

• कोणत्याही सत्कार्याचा आरंभ करताना पूजन केले जाते ते श्रीगणेशाचे. म्हणून त्याला आरंभीची देवता असं देखील म्हणतात. तर अशा गणरायाचे आगमन ७ सप्टेंबर रोजी होत आहे. गणपती हे सर्वात लाडके दैवत असल्याने त्याचे स्वागत देखील धुमधडाक्यात केले जाते. दहा दिवसांसाठी घरी स्थापित होणाऱ्या श्रीगणेशाच्या तयार मूर्ती बाजारात देखील मिळतात. वेगवेगळ्या रूपातील आणि आकारातील गणेशमूर्ती हा जसा आवडीचा विषय असतो तसाच मूर्ती घरीच तयार करून त्याची दहा दिवस पूजा करणे हा देखील वेगळाच भक्तिमय आनंद देणारा विषय आहे.
• घरच्या घरी श्रीगणेशाची मूर्ती तयार करणे हा विषय काही “रॉकेट सायन्स” नाही. कुणीही अगदी पहिल्यांदाच मातीकाम करणारा देखील मूर्तीला आकार देईल तो “गणेश”च असेल. मातीच्या गोळ्याला आकार देताना जर तुमच्या मनात श्रीगणेशाविषयी श्रद्धा आणि भक्ती असेल तर तुमच्या हातातून चिखलाच्या गोळ्याला जो आकार मिळेल तो गणेशच दिसेल. खात्री वाटत नाही ना ! करून बघा प्रयोग.
• मुळातच मानवी शरीर आणि तोंड मात्र हत्तीचे असा जादुई अवतार धारण केलेला देव हाच तुमच्या मेंदूमध्ये आकर्षणाचा बिंदू ठरतो. आणखी एक प्रयोग करून बघायला हरकत नाही. श्रीगणेशाच्या कोणत्याही रूपातील चित्राकडे तुम्ही फक्त एक मिनिटं एकाग्रतेने बघा. त्याचवेळी मला ही मूर्ती अशीच बनवायची आहे असा विचार मनात आणून शांतपणे डोळे मिटून काहीवेळ ध्यान करा. ध्यानाच्या अवस्थेतून बाहेर आलात की तुमच्या पुढ्यात ठेवलेल्या मातीला पाण्यात मळून त्याचा गोळा करण्यासाठी तुमचे हात कार्यरत होतील. एकदा का मातीचा गोळा तयार झाला की मग समोर कोणत्याही चित्राशिवाय तुमच्या मेंदूत उमटलेला श्रीगणेशा तुमच्या हातांना मूर्ती तयार करायला भाग पाडतो.तुम्हाला मूर्तिकामाचा कोणताही पुर्वानुभव नसतानाही केवळ श्रद्धा आणि भक्तीच्या जोरावर तुमच्या हातून श्रीगणेशाची मूर्ती तयार होते. हा अनुभव सर्व गणेशभक्तांचा आहे. आणि हो एक सांगायचं राहूनच गेलं, भारतात गणेशमूर्ती बनविणाऱ्या मूर्तिकारांमध्ये निम्मे मूर्तिकार हे धर्माने मुस्लिम आहेत बरं का..!
• माझ्या घरी तर माझी पत्नीचं गणेशाची मूर्ती तयार करते. त्या मूर्तीचीच आम्ही दहा दिवस भक्तिभावाने पूजा करतो.
