“पुढच्या वर्षी लवकर या” म्हणत गणरायाला निरोप…!

When a beloved guest comes to stay at your home, the house is filled with joy, but when it’s time to bid them farewell, the heart feels heavy. This is the same experience Ganesh devotees go through every year when they say goodbye to Lord Ganesha. Just as we eagerly invite a favorite guest to visit again, similarly, devotees fervently chant “Come early next year” while bidding farewell to Lord Ganesha. This emotional connection is what makes Ganesh Chaturthi a vibrant festival of devotion and celebration. Now, the wait begins for Lord Ganesha’s arrival next year…

• The concept of having the deity stay in one’s home for ten days embodies the principles of hospitality, devotion, and reverence as outlined in Hindu scriptures. It reflects the strong bond between devotees and God, where even the supreme deity longs to meet His devotees. This idea is particularly significant during the ten-day period from Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturdashi in the month of Bhadrapada, which is a grand festival celebrating strength, devotion, and joy.
• It is the right of devotees to present their troubles and challenges before Lord Ganesha and seek happiness and success from Him, as He is considered the most beloved of all deities. The simple belief that the arrival of Lord Ganesha brings happiness and prosperity into the home is a sentiment that resonates deeply with devotees, and it is a feeling that the Lord Himself cherishes. During these ten days, offering flowers of His favorite colors, garments, and modaks as His favorite food, is not merely about gaining His favor. It is a heartfelt expression of devotion that overflows from within.
• As the deity spends these ten days with the family, He does not just give a promise to return next year, but also leaves after transforming the devotees’ circumstances. When Lord Ganesha, who becomes one with the devotion of His devotees, prepares to leave on Anant Chaturdashi, the hearts of the devotees are filled with emotion.
• The departure of the deity signifies the end of the festival. As part of this, the Ganesh idol that was worshipped is immersed in clean water as a farewell gesture. Those who are unfamiliar with the practice might ask, “How can you immerse your deity?” If they understood the deeper meaning and sentiment behind the concept of immersion, they would realize that Hinduism is a vast ocean of spirituality and philosophy.

आपला आवडता पाहुणा आपल्या घरी रहायला आल्यावर आनंदून गेलेले घर पाहुण्याला निरोप देताना कसं गलबलून जातं अगदी तसाच अनुभव दरवर्षी गणरायाला निरोप देताना गणेशभक्तांना येत असतो. आपल्या आवडत्या पाहुण्याला पुन्हा येण्याची जशी आपण गळ घालत असतो. अगदी तशीच आग्रहाची गळ “पुढच्या वर्षी लवकर या” असा जयघोष करत गणरायाला घातली जाते. गणेशभक्तांच्या भावभावनांचा जल्लोशी उत्सव म्हणूनच गणेशोत्सवाकडे पाहिले जाते. आता वाट पहायची ती पुढच्या वर्षीच्या गणेश आगमनाची…..

• देव आपल्या घरी दहा दिवसांकरिता मुक्कामी येतात ही संकल्पनाच मुळात हिंदुधर्म संहितेतील आदरातिथ्य, देवाप्रति असलेला भक्तिभाव, श्रद्धा आणि प्रत्यक्ष परमेश्वराची देखील आपल्या भक्ताला भेटण्याची ओढ दर्शविणारी ही परमश्रद्धेय अशी संकल्पना आहे. श्री गणेशाचे भाद्रपद महिन्यातील गणेश चतुर्थी ते अनंत चतुर्दशी अशा दहा दिवसांच्या काळात भक्तांच्या घरी मुक्काम करणे हा शक्ती-भक्ती आणि जल्लोषाचा महाउत्सवच असतो.
• आपल्या व्यक्तिगत जीवनात येणाऱ्या अडी-अडचणी गणरायाच्या समोर मांडून त्याच्याकडून सुखाची, यशाची अपेक्षा करणे हा तर भक्तांचा हक्कच असतो. कारण सर्व देवतांमध्ये सर्वात लाडका देव म्हणून श्रीगणेशाकडे पाहिले जाते.
• श्रीगणेशाच्या आगमनासोबतच घरात सुख-समृद्धी येते हा भक्तांचा भाबडा भाव श्री गणरायाला देखील आवडीचाच आहे. दहा दिवस गणरायाची मनोभावे सेवा करताना त्याला आवडणाऱ्या रंगाच्या फुलांपासून वस्त्र आणि आवडते खाद्य मोदक प्रसाद म्हणून ठेवताना देवाची मर्जी संपादन करणे एव्हढाच स्वार्थी विचार नसतो तर देवाप्रति असलेली भक्तीभावना त्यातून ओसंडून वाहत असते.
• दहा दिवसांच्या कौटुंबिक सहवासात रमलेला देव सुद्धा पुन्हा पुढच्यावर्षी येण्याचे भक्ताला नुसतेच अभिवचन देत नाही, तर भक्त ज्या अवस्थेत आहे त्याच अवस्थेत त्याच्यासोबत दहा दिवस मुक्कामी राहणारा हा देव जाताना भक्तांची परिस्थिती बदलवून जातो. भक्तांच्या भक्तीशी एकरूप झालेला देव म्हणूनच जेंव्हा अनंत चतुर्दशीला परत जायला निघतात तेंव्हा भक्तांचे हृदय गलबलून येते.
• देव परत जायला निघणे म्हणजेच त्याच्यासाठी आयोजिलेल्या उत्सवाचे विसर्जन असते. म्हणूनच उत्सवात पूजल्या जाणाऱ्या गणेशमूर्तीचे स्वच्छ पाण्यात विसर्जन करत गणरायाला निरोप दिला जातो. तुमच्या देवाचे तुम्ही विसर्जन कसे काय करता ? हा पुरेसा अभ्यास नसलेल्या लोकांकडून विचारल्या जाणाऱ्या लोकांना “मूर्ती विसर्जन” ही संकल्पना आणि त्यापाठीमागचा भावार्थ समजला तर हिंदुधर्म हा अध्यात्म आणि तत्वज्ञानाचा महासागर असल्याचे त्याला कळून येईल.
