Every year, at the end of the financial year, I am left with a small sum of money. Instead of spending it on myself, I use it for those in need. I also gather used clothes from home that are clean and in good condition. These clothes and some grains are donated to an orphanage. This act is not just about help — it is a social responsibility for me.

कधी कधी आयुष्यात आनंद मिळवण्यासाठी फार मोठं काही करावं लागत नाही,
एका साध्या कृतीतूनही अंतःकरण हलवून टाकणारा समाधानाचा स्पर्श मिळतो.
खूप काही नसतानाही, थोडक्याच्या वाटेकडे पाहणाऱ्या डोळ्यांत आनंद फुलतो,
आपली मदत गरजूंना दिशा देते, हसण्याची नवी कारणं देते.
दान म्हणजे उधळपट्टी नव्हे; ते एका विचारशील मनाचं प्रतिबिंब असतं,
माणसांत देव पाहणारी नजरच खऱ्या अर्थानं ‘देवदर्शन’ घडवते.

आजच्या भौतिकवादी जगात दान ही संकल्पनाही कधी कधी दिखावा वाटतो. परंतु माझ्यासाठी दान म्हणजे आत्मिक समाधान मिळवण्याचा मार्ग आहे. मी कोणत्याही प्रकारच्या उधळपट्टीचा कट्टर विरोधक आहे. केवळ इतरांना दाखवण्यासाठी केलेले देणगीकार्य मला स्वीकारार्ह वाटत नाही. माझ्यासाठी दान ही एक जाणीव आहे — माणुसकीच्या उबदार शिडकाव्याची.

दरवर्षी, आर्थिक वर्ष संपताना माझ्या हातात थोडीशी रक्कम शिल्लक राहते. ती रक्कम मी स्वतःसाठी खर्च न करता, गरजूंकरता वापरतो. तसेच, घरी असलेले वापरलेले पण स्वच्छ आणि योग्य अवस्थेतील कपडे मी गोळा करतो. हे कपडे आणि काही धान्य एका अनाथालयात नेऊन देतो. ही कृती माझ्यासाठी केवळ मदतीची नाही, तर एक सामाजिक बांधिलकी आहे.

♥️अनाथांच्या डोळ्यांतील चमक – माझ्या दानाचे खरे मूल्य

ज्या क्षणी मी ते धान्य आणि कपडे अनाथालयात देतो, त्या निरागस मुलांच्या डोळ्यांत जे चमकते, तेच माझ्या दानाचे खरे मूल्य ठरते. कोणतीही पुष्पगुच्छे, सन्मानपत्रं किंवा गौरवपर शब्द या भावनेशी तोल जाऊ शकत नाहीत. ते हास्य, ती आशा, आणि ती आभारांची नजर – हाच माझा खरा पुरस्कार आहे.

♥️दानपेटी नव्हे – थेट माणसांपर्यंत पोहोचणं हेच योग्य

मी दानपेटीत पैसे टाकत नाही, कारण मला खात्री वाटत नाही की ती मदत खरंच योग्य ठिकाणी जातेय का. माझा विश्वास आहे थेट गरजूंपर्यंत मदत पोहोचवण्यात. त्यामुळे मी दरवेळी जाणीवपूर्वक आणि स्वतःच्या हातून ही मदत पोहोचवतो. या थेट संवादामुळे एक नातं निर्माण होतं – माणूसकीचं!

♥️देव मंदिरात नव्हे, माणसांमध्ये शोधावा

माझी श्रद्धा फक्त मूर्तीपूजेत नाही. माझा देव हे सजीव माणूस आहे — ज्याला गरज आहे, जो विवश आहे. अशा माणसांच्या मदतीतच मला खरा ईश्वर सापडतो. म्हणूनच मी दान करताना “सेवा हीच पूजा” ही भूमिका घेऊन पुढे जातो. मंदिरात नव्हे, माणसात देव पाहतो.

कदाचित मी दिलेली मदत मोठी नसेल, पण तिचा परिणाम खोलवर असतो. हे एकवार्षिक कार्य जरी असलं, तरी ते माझ्या मनात वर्षभर राहणारं समाधान देऊन जातं. यातून मला “मदत करणे” हे शिकवण्यापेक्षा “माणूस असणे” शिकायला मिळतं. अशी एक छोटीशी कृती आयुष्य सुंदर करते.
